Looking down
At my body
I see
The missing link
Between humans
And the other great apes.
Been told
To stop being
Such A Drama Queen
Over this.
Must admit
As a male
My body was
More than its share
Of body hair.
Even
After years
Of taking
Testosterone blockers
My legs could be mistaken
For those
Of a Wookie.
Gee
Thanks dad
For this genetic gift.
After
A long winter
And depression.
I need
To remove
These redwood trees
From my legs
Forget
Using a razor
Or a weed trimmer
On my legs.
Better rent
The heavy equipment
The logging companies use
In cutting down
Old grown forests.
As my bathtub fills
To overflowing
With my unwanted
Body hair.
With a gentle sigh
I rub my hands
Over the legs
And feel feminine
Once more.
