Music (September 3, 2012)

Hear
Your siren's call
Drawing me
Near.

Slowly
Seducing me
With your spell
To the water's
Edge.

Pulling me
Deeper
With each note
Into your web.

Surrendering
My soul
Unconsciously
To your care.

As
My body moves
Hypnotically
To your rhythm.

Only
To awaken
With it's echo
In my soul.

This is a well crafted poem, Therisa. But I think even though the siren DOES call one does not have to answer the call...as seductive as it may seem at times. I do like the idea of awakening with its echo in one's soul...somehow that seems a peaceful way to awaken.

Somewhere inside, the speaker here says YES. The echos that remain seem friendly rather than overpowering, but you leave an open question at the end of this poem. Nice.

You created the hypnotic effect very well in the pace of this poem.

I love "only to awaken with its echo in my soul". Love the title, as well. There is a music to this sort of journey. It plays in our hearts.

Believe it or not I found the beat and sang it... I was a little rough in places but I made it to the last strum :)
