Random Thoughts (November 28, 2011)

Sigh.

Silence
Calm before
The storm.

Time
Becomes
A measureless
Construct.

Pleasure
Brief interruption
In a meaningless
World.

Sleep
Oblivion
From reality.

Food
Method of delivery
For legal toxins
Into the body.

Death
Another gateway
For life.

Wow--powerful, and timely for me. I have noticed your absence and was glad to see you here.

Thank you, Grace, this poem was written, during a time of great depression, for me. Generally, I suffer from semi-annual bout of depression, my summer period last, from July to September and my fall/winter period, depending on the weather, usually starts, in November, until mid-March.

Some food could be considered a way to get toxins in the body.

Thank you, Victoria, been struggling with depression and other health issues, in my life. Haven't had the creative energy to write much, over the past 6 months.

Not the most upbeat poem, but we've all been there. I chuckled a bit at the "food" one. Well done.

Thank you for sharing your words.
I hope your deep depression has long passed and your semi-annual bouts are more bearable...
Kind regards
