Welcome, To My World (May 10, 2016)

www.flickr.com
Through my words
You enter
A dimensional gate.

Unlike any
You've seen before.

Transporting you
To a world of wonder
And pain.

Where happy endings
Are the creation
Of faerie
And old wives tales.

As true darkness
And horror
Can be found
A stanza away.

If you dare.

Oh my! A hint of horror indeed!! I do think we're going to see some amazingly different responses to this prompt....the ones so far have all be wonderfully unique. This image is amazing in and of itself....and then when we "fall into" your words - oh dear - head first!

Just something different, from my usual fare. Need to keep my Gothic horror muscles, in shape.

Love that sign and then where you've taken. When we really take the time to get to know and understand another...and when we allow them to reciprocate...caution is indeed needed. But, how sad not to take the risk.

Sometimes, Victoria, people don't want to know, about the pain and horror, of daily life. Preferring to hide away, in a fictional world, where nothing touches them.

I am so glad you posted today. This poem means more to me than it would have last week. I was unable to comment for some reason on the incredible interview over at Poets United. It is good to know more about you and your poetic and life processes. And then to read this. You have certainly entered an incredible door for yourself. I wish you the best and send you a cyber hug for a life lived in tender bravery.

Thank you, Toni, and its ok, about the Poets United interview. Am having trouble myself, responding back. Just by commenting here, you have left a comment on the interview.

Your world might be dark, but I find it also beautiful.

Ah, how lovely to be reminded that we share dimensions with shards of the great entity we are, & other traveling interlopers. My home, as I've related in the past, is full of dimensional portals, & we see "visitors" regularly. Perhaps our home is built on an old Indian burial ground.

Each stanza a new door... a wonderful road to follow.

I agree with Susan, though world be dark, but it defines your strong and beautiful spirit :)

Only wish, Bjorn, some of these stanzas, just hurt too much to write, yet alone, have to read them.

Thank you, Susan, for kindness.

It's possible. I do know, there are some churches, in southern Ontario, I feel like, I'm walking over graves, when inside of them.

Wish, I shared your confidence, Sanaa. Too many times, I feel like, I less than human.

"a stanza away" - yes. I love this.

Thank you, De, for your kind words.

Yikes! Run! Into the terror! Good one.

A door filled with the unthinkable possibilities - maybe bad and evil ~ Thanks for the hint ~

Therisa's World said...

Thank you, Buddah, just felt right, in writing this.

All depends, on one's point of view, Grace. One's horror, is another's salvation.

"A dimensional gate" really clever way to put it and it can be scary to reveal oneself and also to see into someone
else's life. A hint of terror - if we dare.

When I started to write this, the words just fell, into place, for me, Debi. As if, the poem wrote itself.

Oye! Some dimensions are just simply too, too scary! Very, very well written.

A dimensional gate -- what a creative take on this prompt!

Interesting "signs" of the horror and grief awaiting if one falls through trans-dimensional portal...stirs some fear, mostly sympathy!
